Each year, Universum Global surveys business students from around the world to compile a list of most desirable employers. This year’s list includes companies from every corner of the globe, and spans a large number of industries. Tech and finance are well-represented among the top 50, but so are consumer goods and even retail.
Students are provided with a list of over 3000 companies, and then asked to select which companies they would consider working for. They’re also asked to select their top 5 ideal employers.
Tech powerhouse Google took the top spot for the 4th year running. PricewaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young came in second and third respectively. There were also some newcomers on the 2015 list, including luxury goods conglomerate LVMH (#34) and accounting/consulting firm Grant Thornton (#37).
Of all of the companies on this year’s list, Barclays made the biggest jump (from #35 to #27) while Volkswagon had the biggest fall (from #23 to #36).
